Antique Edwardian 9ct Gold Bracelet With Heart Padlock

A sweet antique Edwardian bracelet consisting of fancy 9ct gold Gucci links and larger interlocked links with a star pattern chased across the sides. It’s held by a safety chain and a heart padlock clasp which is complete with London hallmarks on the reverse, dating to 1901.  

Heart padlocks were often gifted to a loved one during a long period of separation. It was a symbol of the couple’s strong love and commitment to one another, reminding the recipient that they may be gone, but their heart will always be with them. 

It’s a beautiful piece that has been loved and cherished over the years and would make a wonderful antique gift for a loved one.
