This elegant antique fancy-link chain is crafted in 18ct yellow gold, exhibiting a bright, sunny glow. The fancy, elongated navette links are of early 20th Century craftsmanship and have been thoughtfully modified with the addition of an old British T-bar (stamped 18ct), creating a feminine interpretation of a traditional Albert watch chain.
Additional chain extensions have also been added to each end, extending the length to 16.5 inches, making it wearable as a necklace. These are stamped with French 18ct eagle marks, suggesting the piece was adapted in France along the way.
This silky “Albertina” necklace is a wonderful find and remains in excellent condition. It sits gracefully along the collarbone, perfect worn alone as an everyday signature piece or layered with other gold chains for a bold, contemporary look.
