Product Details
A gorgeous antique Art Nouveau pendant from the early 1900s decorated with gleaming seed pearls and two clear, ocean blue aquamarines, weighing approx. 0.80ct at the bottom and 2.5ct in the centre.
Aquamarine derives its name from its calming, clear blue/ green colouring that emulates the beauty of a tropical ocean or icy glacial waters. It was once believed to be the treasure of Mermaids and is said to bring happiness, good fortune and eternal youth.
The pale, ocean themed gemstones bring a serene, tranquil quality to the piece and contrast beautifully with the 15ct yellow gold gallery which is made up of scrolling, foliate motifs.
It’s fitted with a pin and loop so it can be worn as a brooch or pendant and is complete with its original green leatherette box which has accompanied the piece faithfully over the centuries.
