This majestic antique Edwardian aquamarine pearl pendant is exquisitely crafted from 9ct yellow gold. Its open-work design showcases a graceful, scalloped frame and intricate scrolling metalwork, with lustrous seed pearls along the gallery and bale and two clear-blue aquamarines adorning the centre and a graceful dropper at the bottom (approx. 0.50ct each).
Aquamarine and pearls are considered treasures of the sea, together embodying purity, wisdom, and tranquillity. They were a popular combination in the early 1900s, their delicate blue and soft white tones harmonising effortlessly, evoking the serene beauty of the sky and ocean.
This fabulous Edwardian aquamarine pearl pendant dates to the early 1900s and exemplifies the beauty and intricate craftsmanship of the era. It has remained in excellent condition and is accompanied by a newer 9ct yellow gold cable chain, made in Italy and complete with London – 1984 import hallmarks.
