Details
An elegant antique Art Nouveau pendant/ brooch from the late Victorian era fashioned in silver and 18ct gold. The scrolling, open-work gallery is decorated with an array of glistening old mine cut diamonds, graded SI1 clarity – H colour (approx. 0.65ct total) and five sky-blue cabochon turquoise swinging from droppers.
Turquoise is considered a stone of good fortune and diamonds a stone of eternal love. They were a popular combination in the 19th Century, their soft blue hue and bright sparkle complementing each other perfectly, evoking the calm and serenity of the sky and ocean.
This versatile Victorian turquoise diamond pendant is in excellent condition and will add a lovely touch of antique charm to the end of a gold chain. It’s fitted with a pin and safety catch at the back as well so it can also be worn as a brooch.
We recommend you insure for £2,000. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
