A sweet antique Edwardian trefoil clover ring dating to the early 1900s set with three bright brilliant cut diamonds with excellent VS1 clarity – I colour. They weigh approx. 0.18ct each and are accompanied by a smaller fourth stone on the stem, bringing the total to approx. 0.55ct. 

Clovers have long been associated with luck and good fortune and each leaf is said to represent faith, hope and love. They were also a symbol of Ireland and Saint Patrick who used the image to illustrate the Holy Trinity, one leaf for the Father, one for the Son and one for the Holy Spirit. 

The stones are held in platinum crown mounts and join a pinched 18ct gold band at the back. It’s very pretty and the diamonds dance and sparkle endlessly in the light.
