Product Details
A grand antique Edwardian Etruscan revival bangle, made in Chester in 1911. The bangle is modelled in 9ct yellow gold and set with an alternating row of blue sapphires and white diamonds in flush star settings across the centre gallery. It’s further decorated with floral, Cannetille metalwork across the front, with rope and beading around the edges.
Etruscan revival pieces were crafted in the late 1800s after ancient Etruscan jewellery was unearthed in tombs outside of Rome, beginning a fascination with the style and giving birth to these beautiful pieces which were crafted in the same grand and elaborate fashion.
The bangle has developed a lovely patina and sunny, golden bloom with age and features Chester hallmarks within the band and a box clasp and safety chain at the side. It’s a beautiful Edwardian bangle, all in excellent condition, with exquisite workmanship and gemstones across the front.
