A dainty pair of antique Edwardian opal drop earrings, crafted in silver and 9ct yellow gold. They feature a delicate trefoil motif at the top, adorned with twinkling rose-cut diamonds that continue down two elegant drops to natural cabochon opals, claw-set at the bottom. Traditionally symbolising hope, luck, and passion, the opals weigh approx. 1ct each and display a mesmerising play of colour, with flashes of green, purple, blue, and orange dancing across their surface, evoking the ethereal beauty of the Aurora Borealis.
This elegant pair dates to the early 20th century and has remained in excellent condition, with new matching 9ct gold posts and butterfly backs added later for modern comfort.
