Details
An elegant antique Edwardian opal lavaliere necklace, adorned with a long, pendulum dropper, topped with a twinkling old mine cut diamond, with a large cabochon opal claw set at the bottom. The natural cabochon opal weighs approx. 5 carats and exhibits magical flashes of blue, green and orange beneath the surface.
Opal is the birthstone of October and is considered a stone of luck and passion. It has been revered throughout history for its enchanting spectrum of colours that flow and dance across the surface of the stone, evoking the natural beauty of a rainbow or the Aurora Borealis.
The opal pendant is fashioned in 18ct gold, with a ring of platinum around the diamond and is suspended from a fine 18ct gold cable chain. It’s a striking Edwardian necklace, that dates to the early 20th Century.
