Product Details
A spectacular pair of antique Edwardian drop earrings from the early 20th Century decorated with an abundance of glossy, white cultured pearls, ringed by smaller seed pearls. The crowning feature is a collection of large pearl grapes that hang as a bunch from the bottom with beautiful pearl flowers and droppers above.
Pearls are the birthstone of June and a true treasure of the ocean, produced organically by fresh and saltwater molluscs. Their spherical shape and exceptional lustre have long been associated with the beauty of the moon and are symbolic of purity, serenity, and loyalty.
The pair are wonderfully ornate and display exquisite workmanship with fabulous flower and leaf motifs crafted in 18ct gold with fine engraving across the front.
They look magnificent dangling from each ear and are fitted with stud backs, secured by large clips and stamped with gold owl import marks, indicating they were assayed in France.
We recommend you insure for £3,000. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
