Antique Edwardian Peridot Tourmaline Bracelet With Heart Padlock
Regular price £1,475.00Product Details
A sweet antique Edwardian bracelet, made in Chester in 1908. The piece is decorated with alternating pink tourmalines and green peridots with 9ct gold trombone links in between, with a gold loop through the middle. It’s held by a safety chain and a heart padlock at the end, complete with hallmarks and a “W’ emblem on the back and has been fused closed so it can’t be removed.
Heart padlocks were a popular love token in the Edwardian era and were worn as a representation of the couple’s strong love and commitment to one another. Pink Tourmaline is also known as “the stone of love” and is said to promote peace, compassion, and harmony in relationships.
This is a fabulous Edwardian bracelet from the early 20th Century, with a wonderful, romantic past. It would make the perfect gift for a loved one and displays a beautiful collection of complementary gemstones.
We recommend you insure for £1,600. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
