Product Details
An exquisite antique Edwardian five stone ring made in Chester in 1909. The gallery is dotted with alternating blue sapphires and old mine cut diamonds, each weighing approx. 0.06ct.
Sapphire is the birthstone of September. The blue variety is considered a stone of truth, wisdom and protection and has long been a favourite of kings and royalty, adored for its royal blue colouring which was considered a reflection of the sky and the heavens, making it divine.
The piece is fashioned in 18ct gold and displays the maker’s mark (J.J.) and Chester hallmarks within the band. It’s very pretty and the alternating gems contrast and complement each other beautifully.
