This beautiful Edwardian 18ct Gold Suffragette ring is dated Birmingham 1918.
The ring is set with a deep, purple 0.20ct Amethyst, with two rich green Peridots and lovely sparkling old cut Diamonds nestled in-between.
Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery popularly consisted of Violet Green and White colours which were chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking
Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes.
