Made in Birmingham in 1905, this vibrant antique Edwardian ring is fashioned in 18ct yellow gold and set with a central green peridot, flanked by two violet amethysts and two sparkling old mine cut diamonds. This striking gemstone combination was often used by the Suffragette movement in the early 20th Century to symbolically convey their core virtues, green for Hope, Violet for Dignity and white for Purity - also sometimes interpreted as the acronym “Give Women Votes!”
Fully hallmarked and beautifully preserved for over a century, this highly collectable Edwardian ring remains in excellent condition. Its slender profile makes it perfect for stacking, with its vibrant contrast of gemstones both striking and deeply meaningful.
