This fabulous antique 18ct Yellow Gold Garnet ring is Victorian Circa 1880.
The ring boasts a large cabochon Almandine Garnet which is crowned with a Pearl encrusted star.
Almandine Garnet’s are known as the stone of Truth and are beloved for their violet/ red colour that is said to provide protection and strength.
Star and Moon images became popular during the late 19th Century as an interest in astronomy grew. Stars symbolise guidance and are seen to lead you in the direction you are meant to go.
This is a magnificent antique ring that looks stunning when worn, such a statement piece!
