An exquisite antique Georgian brooch featuring a beautiful hand-painted portrait of an elegant woman wearing traditional clothing and a pearl hair piece in her silver hair. The portrait is highly detailed with a soft palette of colours and is clearly the work of a skilled artist.
The portrait is preserved behind a glass window locket with a gold rim and haloed by twinkling rose cut diamonds around the border, totalling approx. 0.68ct. The frame is set in silver with an 18ct gold back and pin with pierced workmanship around the sides.
A rare and highly collectable antique treasure, dating to early 19th Century that has remained in pristine condition.
