Product Details
We as jewellers have never seen anything as special as this, an absolutely incredible Georgian collar and cross. All set in 18ct Gold, Circa 1770.
Due to its age, Georgian jewellery is quite rare, with some pieces almost three hundred years old. From 1714 until 1837 four King Georges and a short-lived William gave rise to this extended period, spanning many fashions that are reflected in these stunning pieces of Georgian jewellery.
Natural flat cut Garnets adorn this spectacular museum masterpiece.
The Garnet is a stone of purity and truth as well as a symbol of love and compassion. The Garnet will help everyone's security level and spiritual awareness.
The Garnets are a lovely deep claret red, all foiled back and set in 18ct Yellow Gold, this is not gilt, its genuine solid Gold.
Each of the Garnets are between 1 and 2 carats in size most are 1.50ct. The clasp is a 1.60ct table cut Garnet.
If one of the four clusters alone was a ring, it would be £900 so you can see the value in this masterpiece.
One stone on the cross has a hair line crack in it but one has to be a little forgiving as this is minimal wear for its age, the rest are in fabulous condition.
This would look spectacular for a wedding or special occasion, a true collectors piece.
