Antique Georgian Garnet Flower Drop Earrings 18ct Gold

A fabulous pair of Georgian drop earrings depicting two flowers set with flat-cut garnet petals with a luxurious red-wine hue (approx. 9ct total). They’re set in closed-back 18ct gold collet galleries and hang from hook wires at the top.

Garnet is the birthstone of January and has been desired throughout history for its strength and blazing crimson-red or cherry-pink flame that glows beneath its dark exterior. It’s considered a stone of the heart and is symbolic of passion and enduring love.

The stones and galleries have been preserved from the early 19^th Century but may have been converted into earrings over time.  They’re very eye-catching and look beautiful dangling from each ear.
