Details
Dating to early 19th Century, this exquisite antique Georgian garnet turquoise pendant/ brooch is a fine example of the era’s intricate craftsmanship and opulent design. The ornate gallery is skilfully crafted in a warm 18ct yellow gold, with elaborate cannetille workmanship wrapping around five deep cherry-pink almandine garnets and five blue turquoise cabochons.
Garnet is considered a stone of the heart and is symbolic of passion, commitment, and enduring love. Its deep red/pink hue contrasts beautifully with the calming sky-blue of turquoise which often represents luck and good fortune.
This wonderful antique Georgian pendant/ brooch is in great condition and is fitted with a loop, pin and new locking catch at the back to hold it secure. Hang it from a gold chain, or pin it to your lapel jacket, however you choose to wear it, it’s sure to be admired and will add a wonderful touch of colour and antique charm to any outfit.
