Product Details
A dreamy antique Georgian riviere necklace from the early 1800s adorned with twenty natural cabochon opals with pink rubies and twinkling marcasites dotted on the links in between. The opals range from 1-2 carats and lead to a long dropper at the bottom. Each has been foil-backed allowing the light to bounce back through the stone, enhancing the colours and amplifying its natural iridescence.
Opal is the birthstone of October. Their magic has been revered throughout history, desired for their enchanting rainbow of colours that flow and dance across the surface of the stone, evoking the beauty of planet earth or the aurora borealis, with a burning orange sunset glowing behind.
The links are fashioned in silver with milgrain edging and held by a secure box clasp at the top. It’s remained in pristine condition and showcases a mesmerising collection of opals.
We recommend you insure for £2,400. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
