A beautiful pair of Georgian, Old Cut Paste Stone Earrings made
from an original Georgian collar. The reverse of the earrings
are 18ct yellow gold, the wires are gold too.
The Earrings are silver and gold with gold closed backed galleries
and wires whilst the stones are set in silver.
The top Paste Stones are 1ct each and the bottom ones
are 2cts each - 6cts in total.
The old cut Paste Stones sparkle and glisten like Diamonds with
immense lustre and brilliance captivating the allure of nature's beauty.
Paste is a heavy, very transparent flint glass that stimulates the
fire and brilliance of gemstones because it has relatively high
indices of refraction and strong dispersion, The Romans in
particular were very skilful in the production
of coloured - glass pastes.
These earrings weigh 8.1 grams
They measure 29mm in length
The small Paste stone measures 5mm across x 5mm down
The large Paste stone measures 11mm across x 11mm down
In very good condition they look gorgeous when worn.
