Product Details
An exquisite antique Georgian brooch adorned with a fabulous cushion cut pink topaz in the centre which has been foil-backed to increase its brilliance. It weighs approx. 5 carats and is accompanied by four sky-blue turquoise and four natural pearls set upon an ornate 18ct gold frame of leaves and scrolling, cannetille motifs.
Topaz is the birthstone of November. The pink variety comes in shades of soft pink or fiery red and like a ruby is considered a stone of the heart. A symbol of femininity and romance, it’s said to bring good fortune in love, providing happiness and vitality to any relationship.
The piece dates to the early 19th Century and has remained in excellent condition. A fabulous Georgian treasure with a delightful combination of coloured gems on display.
