This lovely antique 18ct Gold Georgian ring boasts outstanding detail and workmanship from the 1800’s.
The ring is set with a violet/red Almandine Garnet in the centre which is surrounded by a halo of creamy Pearls with a green Emerald on each shoulder.
Almandine Garnet’s are known as the stone of Truth and are beloved for their violet/red colour that is said to provide protection and strength.
The Emerald is the sacred stone of the goddess Venus, It was thought to preserve love and has long been the symbol of hope.
The ring is all set in a beautifully engraved 18ct Yellow Gold Georgian gallery and complete with a loving inscription on the inside of the shank, dated 1860.
This is a truly stunning find, a rare Georgian ring that’s steeped in English history.
