A beautiful Antique Suffragette cluster ring made by Birmingham jewellers S Blanckensee & Son in the early 20th Century.
The face is adorned with a deep violet Amethyst in the centre weighing approx. 0.60ct with twin 0.15ct Peridots at each side and four twinkling Diamonds nestled in between.
Together the colours of each stone pay tribute to the women’s Suffragette movement which took place in the early 20th century and popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White stones which symbolised; Violet for Loyalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope, or Give Women Votes!
The ring is fashioned in 18ct Yellow Gold and complete with Birmingham hallmarks which date it to 1917. It’s a wonderful antique treasure and a wonderful tribute to the Womesn Suffragette movement.
