A romantic antique Victorian gate bracelet from the late 19^th Century fashioned entirely in 9ct gold. The large gate links have a wonderful wave to their design and have been etched with detailed texturing. 

It’s held securely around the wrist by a safety chain and heart padlock clasp which has also been engraved with scrolled patterns and a forget me not, symbolising everlasting love and remembrance. 

Heart padlocks were often gifted by Victorian gentleman to their loved ones during long periods of separation. It was a symbol of the couple’s strong love and commitment to one another, reminding the recipient that they may be gone, but their heart will always be with them. 

The bracelet has a good weight to it and displays exquisite workmanship throughout. It would make a special gift for the one you love most and looks gorgeous wrapped around the wrist.
