Product Details
An exquisite antique Victorian cross pendant from the mid-19th Century made up of six oval cut amethysts weighing approx. 2.3ct each (13.8ct total). They have a soft purple hue and are complemented beautifully by twinkling rose cut diamonds dotted in between, totalling approx. 0.45ct.
Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity. Its deep violet colouring has been highly esteemed throughout history, adorning regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
The piece is a union of silver and high-carat yellow gold which gives it a lovely weight and patina. It’s remained in pristine condition and would look stunning on the end of a gold chain.
We recommend you insure for £2,300. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
