Details
Dating to the late 19th Century, this romantic antique Victorian bracelet is fashioned in a rosy 9ct gold. The links consist of fancy brick sections and open rings, with lover’s knot motifs within. It’s held by a safety chain and heart padlock clasp, complete with Birmingham hallmarks at the back, indicating it was added later to the piece in 1966, but is in keeping with the period's style.
Heart padlocks were a popular love token in the Victorian era symbolising a couple’s strong love, trust, and commitment to one another. Lover’s knots have also long been a symbol of love, loyalty and friendship, representing an eternal bond that is unbreakable and forever entwined.
This classic 9ct gold Victorian bracelet has been beautifully preserved and cherished over the centuries and would make the perfect antique gift for a loved one, continuing a story of romance that has been written across the centuries.
