This fabulous Victorian Scottish Silver Agate brooch is Circa 1860.

Scottish jewellery was made popular by Queen Victoria as it became a souvenir of her trips to Scotland. From the mid 1800's Queen Victoria frequented Scotland and her Scottish Castle Balmoral.

Beautiful plaid Agates chase around the brooch all set in Sterling Silver.

Each Agate is unique with beautiful natural colouring and polished to perfection.

Agate is a strong mineral sometimes known as the earth rainbow for it’s patterned texture that shows varying colours the earth can produce.

The brooch is complimented by an engraved border.

Complete with the original pin and C catch.

The brooch was purchased in London and steeped in History.

Looks fabulous when worn, a true collectors piece.

Weighs 28.7 grams.

Measures 50mm across x 55mm down.
