Product Details
A grand antique Victorian cluster ring from the turn of the 20th Century adorned with three cushion cut Ceylon sapphires flush set along the front with a row of twinkling diamonds bordering. The sapphires have a vivid cornflower blue hue and weigh approx. 0.22 and 0.25ct each – 0.70ct total.
The Sri-Lankan sapphire, or “Ceylon” sapphire has been a favourite of kings and royalty throughout history and was regarded as a stone of truth, wisdom and strength. It’s valued for its striking royal blue colouring which tends to be brighter and more vibrant than most other sapphires.
The piece is modelled in 18ct gold and features pierced sides and Birmingham hallmarks within the band that date to 1900. It’s in excellent condition and exhibits a fabulous collection of precious gems at the front.
