Product Details
A sweet antique charm necklace featuring a beautiful collection of old Victorian charms all fashioned in 9ct gold and suspended from a fine 9ct cable chain. They include a gold heart, a pearl pendant set with two bright diamonds above, a rotating fob and two sets of Faith, Hope and Charity charms.
The pairing of a Heart, Cross and Anchor has long been used to characterise the key Theological virtues a person should adhere to. The Cross represents “Faith” and a devotion to God, the Heart represents “Charity” and to be open and caring to others, and the Anchor represents “Hope” as the dropping of an anchor represents the safe end of a long sea voyage.
The fob is inlaid with bloodstone and carnelian seals that would have traditionally been engraved and stamped into sealing wax. It also features faded Birmingham hallmarks on the side, dating to 1900.
A wonderful necklace showcasing a superb collection of charms that have been collected over the years to create the fabulous piece we have here today.
