A magnificent, chunky antique Victorian bracelet from the late 19th Century showcasing nine large oval cut amethysts with a soft violet hue. The stones graduate in size from the clasp and weigh between 9.5 to 19.5ct each.
Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is considered a stone of protection, clarity and tranquillity. Its deep violet colouring has been highly esteemed throughout history, adorning regal jewellery all around the world, from ancient Egypt to the British crown jewels.
All the stones are set in secure silver claw links and are held by a box clasp and safety chain. It’s a spectacular piece, boasting a spectacular collection of amethysts that look fabulous wrapped around the wrist.
