Product Details
A fabulous pair of antique Victorian coral drop earrings adorned with large, round droppers set with natural coral on each side displaying a salmon-pink hue and deep grooves carved into the surface. They’re held in 18ct gold frames with ornate tops set with four twinkling old mine-cut diamonds, totalling approx. 0.36ct.
Coral is produced naturally in the depths of the ocean over thousands of years by tiny marine invertebrate known as polyp. It has long been worn as a protective talisman and exhibits fiery shades of pink, orange and red, making them a colourful alternative to other ocean treasures such as pearls.
They’re a distinctive pair and look wonderful dangling from each ear. They date to the late 19th Century and have both remained in pristine condition.
We recommend you insure for £2,000. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
