Product Details
An extraordinary antique Victorian coral and pearl cluster ring from the late 19th Century, adorned with a smooth coral stone in the centre with natural salmon pink/ orange colouring and patterning, haloed by twelve natural pearls and twelve more round coral around the outside.
Coral and Pearls are both treasures of the sea and produced naturally over time by molluscs and tiny marine invertebrate known as polyp. The bright, creamy lustre of pearls contrasts beautifully against the vibrant pink/ orange hue of coral, a striking combination that is said to represent the moon and mars and promote harmony and well-being to the wearer.
The large gallery is fashioned in 15ct yellow gold, with a rope edge at the back and a scalloped gold frame around the centre stone, highlighted in black enamel.
This is a magnificent Victorian statement ring, all in excellent condition, with a beautiful combination of natural coral and pearls on top that are sure to impress.
We recommend you insure for £2,000. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
