This fabulous Victorian 18ct Gold Moonstone crescent brooch is Circa 1900.

The wonderful brooch depicts a crescent moon which is complimenting by Moonstones that graduate in size, and also a star which is adorned with white Sapphires.

Star and Moon images became popular during the late 19th Century as an interest in astronomy grew.

The beautiful Moonstone has a lovely ghostly hue and has been a tangible connection to the magic of the moon. An amulet of protection to the travellers, a gift of lovers for passion, a channel for prophecy, and a path to wisdom.
