A grand antique Victorian curb bracelet, consisting of chunky 9ct gold curb links, held by a safety chain and a large heart padlock clasp, that opens with a push-release catch at the side. Each link has developed a lovely rosy patina with age and is stamped 9ct on the reverse, with textured patterning on every second link.
The Victorians loved romance and Heart padlocks were a popular love token gifted during a long period of separation. It was a symbol of the couple’s strong love and commitment to one another, reminding the recipient that they may be gone, but their heart will always be with them.
This beautiful Victorian curb bracelet has been loved and cherished over the centuries and has remained in excellent condition. It dates to the late 19th Century and would make the perfect antique gift for a loved one.
