Details
A pretty antique Victorian bar brooch adorned with a trilogy of 0.20ct old mine cut diamonds across its length and a crescent moon in the centre encrusted with further old cuts. They are beautiful and bright with SI1 clarity – H colour and total approx. 1ct.
Star and Moon images became popular during the late 19th Century as an interest in astronomy grew. Crescent moons were a symbol of the feminine moon goddess and represented change and female empowerment in the Victorian Era.
The piece is a union of silver and 18ct gold and fitted with a secure locking clasp on the pin. It’s very striking and sparkles beautifully in the light.
