Details
These majestic antique French drop earrings are built around two soft-violet amethysts crowned with delicate pearl flowers, with additional natural seed pearls set beneath and along graduated tassels that sway gracefully from the bottom. They’re skilfully fashioned in 18ct yellow gold, with delicate, scrolled motifs joining hook wires at the top.
Amethyst is the birthstone of February and is traditionally linked to Saint Valentine, the patron saint of love. Throughout history, its deep purple-violet hue has long been a favourite of royalty and pairs wonderfully with the bright natural lustre of pearls, symbolising protection, devotion, and enduring affection.
An exquisite example of late 19th-century craftsmanship, these Victorian-era amethyst pearl earrings have been beautifully preserved and make a striking choice for special occasions, framing the face with exceptional elegance.
