Product Details
A grand antique Victorian parure from the late 19th century consisting of earrings, a brooch and a bangle. Each has been fashioned in 18ct gold and made in a matching, Etruscan style with ornate metalwork, golden balls, articulated tassels and diamond encrusted stars highlighted in blue enamel.
Etruscan revival pieces were crafted in the mid 1800s when ancient Etruscan jewellery was unearthed in tombs outside of Rome beginning a fascination with the style and giving birth to these beautiful pieces which were crafted in the same elaborate fashion.
The diamonds are a mixture of old cut and rose cut and glisten beautifully in the centre of each piece (approx. 0.65ct total).
The brooch is accompanied by a detachable dropper at the bottom which matches the earrings design and is fitted with a hidden locket on the reverse as well.
It’s very rare to find a complete suite such as this and it even has its original box as well which has a burgundy velvet interior and individual settings for each piece. They look magnificent when worn together and have remained in excellent condition.
We recommend you insure for £6,500. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
