Product Details
An exquisite antique Etruscan revival lavaliere necklace from the mid-Victorian era (Circa 1860) featuring four large cabochon garnets suspended from the bottom, topped with pearl stars. They have a deep red glow beneath the surface and are bezel set in ornate 18ct gold frames with further seed pearls around the border.
Etruscan revival pieces were crafted in the late 1800s after ancient Etruscan jewellery was unearthed in tombs outside of Rome, beginning a fascination with the style and giving birth to these beautiful pieces which were crafted in the same grand and elaborate fashion.
It displays stunning workmanship and is fitted with an 18ct curb chain and a new ring clasp, featuring Birmingham import hallmarks, dated 1970.
