This beautiful 9ct Yellow Gold Victorian Suffragette pendant is Circa 1900.

The pendant is adorned with a Amethysts, Peridots and Pearls all in a floral style gallery, which all graduate is size around the pendant.

Emmeline Pankhurst was the leader of the British Suffragette movement in the 19th century and through her efforts won the right for women to vote.

Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery was chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking.

Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes.

The Peridot is a stone of lightness and beauty and was believed to be a stone of springtime by ancients who considered it a gift from Mother Nature.

Amethyst has been highly esteemed throughout the ages for its stunning beauty and legendary powers to stimulate and soothe the mind and emotions.
