This fabulous antique Victorian flower pendant and chain was made representing the Suffragette movement, Circa 1900.
The wonderful pendant is decorated in sparkling white, green and pink Paste Stones in a beautiful floral gallery.
Suffragettes liked to be depicted as feminine, their jewellery popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White colours which were chosen to counter the stereotypes put forward by opponents that they were mannish or shrieking.
Green is for Give, white is for Women and violet is for Votes.
Paste is a transparent flint glass that simulates the fire and brilliance of gemstones. White Pastes sparkle just like Diamonds, captivating the allure of natures beauty.
The necklace is all set in Silver and complete with hallmarks on the clasp.
This is a truly beautiful antique necklace that looks lovely when worn, a great talking piece.
