A lovely antique pearl diamond chain bracelet made in France in the mid 19th Century. It consists of two 18ct gold cable link chains and four gold/ silver connectors, topped with rose-cut diamonds and eight bright, natural pearls.
Pearls are the birthstone of June and a true treasure of the ocean, produced organically by fresh and saltwater molluscs. Their spherical shape and exceptional lustre have long been associated with the beauty of the moon and are symbolic of purity, serenity, and loyalty.
It’s a beautiful design, all in excellent condition and one of the connectors forms a secure box clasp, complete with a safety chain and 18ct French eagle marks on the back.
