Product Details
A beautiful antique French locket from the late 1800s topped with a five-pointed star decorated with five cushion cut pink rubies and a natural pearl in the centre. The shell has developed a lovely smoothness and patina over time and is fashioned in 18ct gold with a faded French eagle stamp on the loop.
Celestial jewellery became increasingly sought after during the 19th Century and stars were one popular symbol, often gifted as a lucky charm to be wished upon and said to guide you on the path to your dreams and true destiny.
It’s the perfect place to store two cherished family photos and is fitted with one window on the left side, but another can be added to the right as well.
We recommend you insure for £2,300. We can provide a written Valuation on completion of the sale.
