Details
Dating to the late 19th century, this delightful antique Victorian harlequin bracelet showcases nine vibrant, multi-coloured gemstones in a variety of cuts and sizes. The selection includes golden citrine, purple amethyst, red garnet, multi-hued topaz, and a striking blue sapphire at the end. The stones graduate beautifully from approx. 0.40 carats to an impressive 2-carat centrepiece, each securely set within warm 15ct yellow gold frames. These connect to a smooth curb-link chain, finished with a classic box clasp and safety chain for added security.
Harlequin jewellery draws inspiration from the colourful patchwork costumes of 16th-century Commedia dell’arte performers. By the 19th century, this joyful style had become highly fashionable, admired for its playful yet luxurious combination of vividly coloured gemstones.
This fabulous Victorian bracelet is expertly made and in excellent condition, offering a lively rainbow of colourful gemstones that will add a fabulous pop of sparkle and colour to any outfit.
