This beautiful antique Victorian brooch is set in 14ct Yellow Gold adorned with lovely detailed engraving.
A Turquoise stone sits central in the detailed Gold gallery. 3 Pearls hang from the bottom.
Pearls have a wonderful lustre with a rich creamy tone, they are lovely lustrous and natural.
The Turquoise stone has healing properties, it protects the wearer from negative energy and brings good fortune. Turquoise is the symbol of friendship, and also brings peace to the home. It is also a symbol of forget me not.
Forget-me-not, O Lord! is what a poor German knight shouted as he fell into a river. He and his lady were picking flowers by the side of the river at the time when the poor knight suddenly fell in and sank to the bottom.
Upon his cries to the Lord, he threw the blue posy of flowers to his loved one. Hence, the concept of remembrance, eternal love and faithfulness grow from this.
This can be worn as a brooch or on a chain as it is fitted with a hidden bale on the back.
