A beautifully crafted late antique Victorian Gold Mining brooch featuring a shovel, pick axe and three large Gold nuggets wrapped in a rope.

Brooches such as this came about during the late 19th century Gold rush and were offered as a lucky token to those who had gone in search of Gold and hoped to return with riches.

The piece is 9ct Gold gilt and displays beautiful engraved workmanship. It is a wonderful piece of history and highly collectable.
