Product Details
A grand Antique late Victorian guard chain made up of solid 9ct Yellow Gold cable links which connect to make one long 61-inch chain with a claw clasp at the end holding three wonderful Georgian era fobs.
The fobs are all 18ct Gold and set with a Bloodstone and Carnelian Seals.
One Carnelian is left unmarked and the other is stamped with a flaming tower and has the French wording “A La Verité” (The Truth). The Bloodstone is carved with a heroic figure holding a club with the word “Defend” written above.
Fobs were usually worn as a decorative accessory to go along with a pocket watch. The seal was used to stamp a person's signature or perhaps a sentimental message or image in sealing wax on important documents.
The chain and fobs are steeped in history and in excellent condition. It can be worn as one long chain or wrapped two to three times around the neck.
