Product Details
A fabulous antique Victorian harlequin bracelet from the late 19th Century lined with nine colourful gemstones, including blue zircon, amethyst, citrine, spinel, garnet and a yellow sapphire. The smallest stones weigh approx. 0.75ct and graduate in size to a 2.5ct violet spinel in the middle.
Harlequin jewellery is named after the colourful costumes of the 16th century comedy actors of the same name. The style was popular during the 19th Century and saw wonderful pieces of jewellery abundantly decorated in coloured gemstones.
The stones are set in high-carat yellow gold frames that articulate together and join gold links at the back, all held by a box clasp and safety chain. It’s a fabulous piece with a gorgeous rainbow of gems spread out on top.
