Harlequin jewellery is named after the colourful costumes of the 16th century comedy actors of the same name. The style was popular during the 19th Century and saw wonderful pieces of jewellery abundantly decorated with coloured gemstones.
The stones are set in gold frames and held by a double hook clasp at the end. It’s in excellent condition and boasts a gorgeous variety of natural gemstones that look like a glistening rainbow around the neck.
