The largest is a clear cushion cut spinel at the centre, weighing approx. 7ct on its own.
Harlequin jewellery is named after the colourful costumes of the 16th century comedy actors of the same name. The style was popular during the 19th Century and saw wonderful pieces of jewellery abundantly decorated in coloured gemstones.
Each gem is held in a silver frame, gilded in 18ct gold and held by a box clasp at the end. It’s remained in excellent condition and boasts a spectacular rainbow of gemstones that total over 60ct.
